SANLÚCAR
In full river mouth, and as principal port with the Indies, Sanlúcar de Barrameda receives every year an event that's unique and of recognized tourist interest: their centenary horse races.
It was in this environment, concretely in the beach of Las Piletas, that it was first possible to enjoy the first Sunset Beach Polo competition.

The Sunset Beach Polo Society presents the II Sunset Beach Polo Tournament next Saturday September 6th starting at 5.30 p.m. on El Palmar beach (at Vejer de la Frontera, Cádiz)
The Sunset Beach Polo Society celebrates the II Sunset Beach Polo Tournament El Palmar 2014, choosing the El Palmar beach at Vejer de la Frontera (Cádiz) as the meeting grounds.
The event, celebrated on September 6th, will begin at 5.30 p.m. and all its activities shall have as the main objective the promotion and development of the polo as a sport close to all, that everyone can access. It is an entrepreneurial and innovative initiative, since it is the only tournament held in the first-line of the beach. To move the practice of polo to the Andalusian coast would transform this sport into a boost agent in our economics and tourism.
Sand. Sand, sea and sun. The perfect combination. The ideal witnesses to a unique moment. The perfect accomplices to an unforgettable experience.
The images of horsemen riding their horses set against a crystal-like sea will be indelible. The shared laughter and conversations with friends on a summer’s evening at sunset in a natural park such as El Palmar, memorable.
This was the backdrop to the celebration of the 1st and 2nd Sunset Beach Polo Tournament, and everyone who was there knows it. It was not only about sport, and the Sunset Tournament, for the third consecutive year, managed to entangle polo with the beauty of the Cadiz coasts and the greatness of its people.
